Custom Wicker - In Process |
 Custom Wicker - After |
This wicker rocker came to us with a hollow back. Without causing damage to the frame, there was not a way to fasten the upholstery. So we decided to cut out a piece of plywood to fit the area, then drill a series of holes around the perimeter. Following the upholstery of the inside part, we used fine nylon stitching twine to fasten the plywood to the frame. Note the uncut twine ends in the second photo. The outside fabric was hand sewn in place.

An abandoned frame that was just too good to throw away. I decided to make it colorful with left over pieces of leather and now take the chair to home shows, where I receive lots of favorable comments.

A 1930's fine furniture radio cabinet - all mahogany. We removed the radio and turntable components, created shelf space, removed the old finish, and bleached the red out of the surface before finishing it. We also added some mirrors to the inside back, and lighting. This makes for an excellent apartment sized bar. |
