Old dining chairs from Strongbow Inn ended up in out shop recently. Our customer stumbled across them while looking for chairs to use in a new retreat facility. Recognizing their quality, she purchased them and contacted us about refinishing.
Out of the 90 chairs, she required 85 for her project. This allowed us to scavenge parts from the extra chairs for repairs to the few that needed them. We glued the frames as needed.
The chairs were stripped, sanded and then finished with a commercial grade lacquer finish. No stain was used as the natural color of the oak wood was beautiful.
If Strongbow Inn saw them now, they’d wonder why they ever replaced them!
