We had a gorgeous buffet in the shop this month.  It sustained water damage after a pipe burst in the bathroom located above it requiring major repair and replacement of veneer – the whole buffet top has new veneer.  Other repairs included refitting the drawers and doors, re-gluing the case and installing new corner blocks, installing new inside boards and trim repair.  Careful coloring of the new veneer was essential to blend it with the original wood.  An off-color would have suggested two unrelated pieces were “married” instead of originally intended to be together.  We think it turned out nicely – and the owner did, too.
